PRESS RELEASE ANNOUNCING THE EIGTH ANNUAL ANTHROPOS ARTS STUDENT/TEACHER CONCERT On Sunday, May 20, 2007, the Anthropos Arts music education program presents the 8th Annual Anthropos Arts Concert at Stubb's Barbecue Outdoors, located at 801 Red River in downtown Austin. The event will include live performances by at-risk youth from Austin and Manor I.S.D. involved in the Anthropos Arts music education program with special guests, including members of the following bands: The Grooveline Horns, Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians, Catavento, Atash, Boombox, La Tribu, Vengo, Elote, Critters Buggin, Ephraim Owens Group, Austin Symphony and Lyric Opera, and many other local talents. Doors open at 4:00PM. Performances by Anthropos middle school students and special guests start at 5:30pm, followed by the Anthropos high school students performing with an all-star band of local and international talents. All proceeds benefit Anthropos Arts and will support the continuation and expansion of this program. Anthropos Arts is a non-profit music education organization which brings Austin-based and touring professional musicians into public schools to provide free lessons and workshops to economically disadvantaged students.
