ANTHROPOS ARTS, KO-OP RADIO, AND STUBB'S PRESENT
ATASHWith special guest:Calcutta sitar master Indrajit Banerjee At STUBB's (801 Red River) Sunday, May 21st 8:30pm Tickets $12 World music virtuosos ATASH join forces with sitar master Indrajit Banerjee in a rare Austin performance. Members hail from West Africa, India, France, Mexico, Korea, the US, and are fronted by the earthshaking vocals of Iranian singer Mohammed Firoozi. Proceeds benefit Anthropos Arts, a local non-profit providing free music lessons and workshops to economically disadvantaged and at-risk youth. Come early (6pm) to see Anthropos Arts lessons students perform on stage with members of Atash, Austin Symphony, Blaze, Grooveline Horns, et al.
