Anthropos Music, a program of Austin-based non-profit Anthropos Arts, brings local professional musicians into public schools to teach free lessons to students who could not otherwise afford them. In addition, expert workshops and master classes are brought into schools in which the majority of students come from low-income families.
Students qualify for the program by being on the Free-Lunch program and/or showing other evidence of being economically disadvantaged. They are interviewed to assess their interest in participating in the program, and must maintain a consistent work ethic and attendance.

At the end of each season, Anthropos students have an opportunity to showcase what they learn, as they perform with their teachers and other world-class Austin musicians live, on stage, at our end of the year concert.
