9 YEARS OLD AND STILL GROWING!
Anthropos Arts brings top-notch professional musicians and artists into Title I public schools in and nearby Austin, Texas to lead economically disadvantaged students through a comprehensive music program consisting of concerts, workshops, master classes, and lessons. Students receiving lessons finish out each school year with a public performance, showcasing their new skills alongside real professional musicians at a real professional venue.

The 8th season of Anthropos Arts was even stronger and more eventful than the last. More free music lessons were brought to needy students (over 700!) as well as nearly 20 great workshops ranging from Jazz, to Latin, to Middle Eastern, Indian, and West African music. This brought our 2005-2006 outreach to over 10,000!

Our school year concluded with our best concert yet at STUBB'S Outdoor Amphitheater in downtown Austin, with nearly 100 students performing.  Check out the Austin American Statesman piece!   Anthropos alumni from Reagan High joined  KIPP MS rhythm players and professional Latin combo “Elote” to rock First Night Austin and the Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Fest last August, as well.
